In 1999, I began making soap as gifts for my family and friends. I
became hooked on the process. My ideas for different combinations
of essential oils and natural colorants led me to make many batches
of soap. The quantity of soap around our house quickly exceeded
our needs. The positive responses from those who used our soap
encouraged me to try and sell it. We decided to start a small soap
business so I could sell the soap and continue making it while
experimenting with the process. April Showers Soaps was off and
running!
