I have been a member of Teal since 1993. I was best known for my dried
flower arrangements and twig and moss picture frames. Over the years my
work transformed as I started to include different types of hand-made
papers. With experimentation, I found I could "paint" scenes by layering
many types of torn paper.
I was then inspired by a framing technique that sandwiched artwork
between glass. This sparked my inspiration to use stained glass as the
canvas for my collages. The rest they say, is history. My pieces continue to
evolve as I combine paper, glass, fiber, silk, medal, mirror, paints and
stains. I feel my artwork now can best be described as mixed media
collage.
The beauty of nature has always been my inspiration.
My goal continues to be to create unique and affordable artwork that
celebrates the magic of nature that is all around us
