About Carrie — A sense of wonder of the natural world is at the root of my inspiration - every day beauty in my home, the flowers in my garden, the landscapes and sky around me, my dogs and neighborhood cats. My painterly response involves expressive brush strokes, layers of mark making and fine tuning until I feel I have communicated the essence of a place or moment in time. I live in the beautiful mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon where I explore the trails with my family and happily paint through the rainy winters.
